Brief: Consultation Strategy and Execution

LOCOG was the organisation responsible for overseeing the planning and hosting of the London 2012 Games. Part of its remit was to consult the public and achieve planning approval for each the venues across the UK that would be used to host competitions during Games-time. 

 

Delivered:

-Developed and implemented public consultation strategies, plans and budgets for and number of sports venue ‘overlay’ locations that would be used during the 2012 Games.

-Worked with venue project managers, heads of sport and PR teams to deliver the pre-planning consultation marketing and communication programme for Earls Court, the O2 Arena and ExCeL London

-Set the strategy, plans and budget for a further 30 locations across the UK.

 

Outcome: 

Planning approvals granted for targeted venues.
